EXERGIA awarded the WB-project “Assessment of the Legal and Administrative Constraints to the Development of the National Hydropower Market for Lebanon”.

The objective of this WB-funded, consultancy project is to assess the legal and administrative constraints to the development of the Lebanese hydropower market and elaborate a practical action plan for the removal of these constraints. The assessment is expected to foster the ability of hydropower to assist in the objective of the Lebanese government delivering 12% of its electricity mix through renewable energy sources by 2020, taking into account the current and projected demand for water in the various key sectors in Lebanon.

During the course of the project, a multidisciplinary team of EXERGIA’s experts will work in close collaboration with the Government of Lebanon, the World Bank, and representatives of all key stakeholders concerned to meet the project’s objectives.
